The formula for the adidas Consortium Sneaker Exchange in 2017 was simple: pair two shops from across the globe and let them choose two adidas silhouettes to work with. The ambitious and impressive part was doing this with two new shops for EVERY month of the year. After 24 shops and 24 sneakers, few will argue that adidas Consortium saved the best for last. For December, Atlanta’s A Ma Maniere and Taiwan’s Invincible presented two of the most premium editions of the two currently most popular adidas models, the Ultra Boost and NMD R1. The A Ma Maniere x Invincible x adidas NMD R1 up for grabs here features a cashmere wool infused Primeknit upper, woven with an obvious reference to the Primeknit pattern of the original Ultra Boost 1.0, resulting in a perfect combination the two already-legendary sneakers.
